• 7th Biennial FOOTPRINT International Competition 2020

Center for Contemporary Printmaking, Norwalk, CT
    Featuring Judith H Long

Judith Long is very pleased to have a print accepted for the 7th Biennial FOOTPRINT International Competition 2020.  The show takes place in Norwalk, CT, from September 13 through November 22.

Her print, Organic Schism, is an abstract one-of-a-kind monotype. It features a four-color split fountain background with random vertical marks created with inked strips of cardboard.

All prints in the exhibit are 12 inches square. The square format was uncommon in art until the advent of abstraction and presents distinct challenges of composition and expression.

The juror, Dr. Jane Kinsman, Distinguished Adjunct Curator at the National Gallery of Australia, selected 90 pieces from printmakers around the world, including, in addition to the United States, Russia, Japan, Ukraine, Canada and Australia.
