    Featuring Judith H Long

Roots presents recent print-making work by Judith Long in the Second Floor Gallery.  Of her exhibit, Judith says:

Roots is a body of work that began with last summer’s project to renew the woodchip pathways around my home.  While cleaning and leveling the paths I cut out many tree roots, keeping the best for a new printmaking project. During several days of boring physical labor I visualized ways to create an abstraction of the layers of soil, roots and leaves on which we walk without a thought of what lies under our feet. On display are the results of numerous experiments with layering papers, inks, roots and leaves.”

Reception:  Friday, August 11 from 5 to 7 pm
